Brief Description of the Project:
The primary objective of PHCM is to strengthen downward accountability in local governance by building the capacity of citizens—particularly marginalized, vulnerable groups, and women—to promote transparency and accountability in the governance process. This is aimed at ensuring equitable and easy access to public goods and services. To foster a positive relationship between service providers and users, the program engages CSOs as impartial observers or watchdogs, acting as mediators.
Major outcomes achieved/ Implementation Success:
  • Representatives of LBs they are understand the role of this project and they are on the process of reformation about their activities.
  • Information was gathered from 225 people from all five working areas through the method of Citizen Report Card.
  • Information was gathered from 225 people from all five working areas through the method of  Exit poll.
  • 128 people from all five working areas were well informed or oriented through the method of  District of VDC level orientation.
  • 465 people were participated at the time of Public Hearing in all working areas.
  • 60 People from all the working areas were able to put their issues related to local bodies.
  • Representatives of local bodies, they are agreed to reform their action with rapid scale.
  • Most of the people are informed about the rights and duties of local bodies through the local Medias.
