Brief Description of the Project:
The Women’s Health Project was designed to improve the overall health status of women who lack access to healthcare services during pregnancy and lactation. The project focused on raising awareness and building capacity through training on the importance of good health practices during pregnancy and the benefits of a nutritious diet for both mothers and newborns. These efforts aimed to enhance the health and wellbeing of both mothers and their children.
Major outcomes achieved/ Implementation Success:
  • Contacted 6,040 women of reproductive age through household visits. Referred 511 individuals for further care, and provided health services, including IUCD insertion, to 243 women.
  • Conducted 21 BCC events to promote health awareness and practices.
  • Organized 42 community-level advocacy meetings and 2 district-level advocacy events to support health initiatives and engage stakeholders.
