Brief Description of the Project:
The goal of project was to enhance resiliency (MDG-7) of vulnerable communities through improved livelihood (MDG-1), strengthened leadership and sustainable environmental management in Pyuthan, and Rolpa districts of Nepal. It had 3 major outcomes in achieving the goal of the project.
- Increased income of vulnerable user groups through agro-based micro-enterprise and entrepreneurship development initiatives.
- Strengthened the capacity and competency of civil societies through leadership and management skills (Good governance).
- Enhanced resiliency through environmental planning and management systems.

Major outcomes achieved/ Implementation Success:
- Formulated 90 Enterprise Development Groups consisting 900 women and all participated in a 6 months long enterprise education aimed to capacitate them on the basics of enterprise and entrepreneurial skill.
- Developed 90 community facilitators with 7 days TOT to facilitate EE center which was mobilized as community business facilitator.
- Strengthened skills and knowledge of good governance consideration among the local planners who were actively engaged in the local planning process.
- Developed 60 different small-scale infrastructure activity following a Result Oriented Development and Management approaches as "challenge project" and were implemented.
- Formulated and strengthened 6 agriculture, environment and forestry coordination committee to coordinate, facilitate and monitoring of activities at community level.
- 6 LAPA were prepared and partial support was made to implement along with 18 CBAP preparation and implementation support.
- 6 DDR plan were prepared following LAPA framework.
- Integration project intervention in VDCs and DDCs plan by following decentralize local development planning process.
