Brief Description of the Project:
The project aimed to increase the income of conflict-affected households, those impacted by natural disasters, and families with less than 2 Ropani of land for agriculture. Through targeted interventions, the project supported crop production to enhance food security, improve nutritional intake, and reduce existing levels of malnutrition.
Major outcomes achieved/ Implementation Success:
  • Conducted 46 technical training events on cereal crops and vegetables, benefiting 920 participants.
  • Distributed a total of 3,720 kg of seeds across various crops, including rice, maize, millet, and vegetables.
  • Introduced advanced crop and livestock technologies to enhance crop production among targeted farmers.
  • Achieved increased production and productivity of both crops and livestock for the farmers involved.
  • Improved dietary intake for pregnant and nursing women, as well as for children, by focusing on nutritional needs.
