Brief Description of the Project:
Gender inequality and social exclusion are critical issues, and to address it local governments are actively placing their efforts, fulfilling its international commitments to nondiscrimination, gender equality, and social justice. In this regards the project aimed to identify GESI gaps in selected local levels and prepare action plan to integrate and mainstream to foster gender equality.
Major outcomes achieved/ Implementation Success:
  • Completion of GESI Workshop: A 2-day GESI workshop was successfully conducted across 16 local levels in Rupandehi district and 3 local level of Palpa district.
  • Action Plans Developed: All local levels have gained insights from the workshop and have created action plans for the effective implementation of GESI.
  • Commitment to GESI Implementation: The local government has committed to integrating GESI principles into all its activities.
